Search

Layota includes built-in search that lets visitors find areas and markers by name, description, or tag.

How Search Works

The search bar appears at the top of the embedded map (unless disabled in Appearance). Visitors type a query and see instant results filtered across all levels.

Search matches against:

• Area titles and descriptions
• Marker titles
• Tag names

Quick Search Items

Quick Search Items are predefined shortcuts shown below the search bar before the visitor types anything. Use them to highlight popular destinations.

Configure Quick Search Items in the editor under Search settings.

Search in the SDK

The SDK emits search-related analytics events:

Event	Description
searchQuery	Visitor performed a search
searchResultClick	Visitor clicked a search result
searchNoResults	Search returned no results

These events are tracked in Analytics to help you understand what visitors are looking for.
